Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP)
Initial Certification Training Program was designed for people who wish to become certified STRTP Group Home Administrators for children’s homes .An individual shall be an STRTP residential facility certificate holder prior to being employed as an Administrator.
Initial Certification Training Program curriculum was designed to incorporate the Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Requirements, for administrators. STRTP Interim Licensing Standards (ILS), Version 3 (Released 01-11-2019) and Title 22, Division 6, Chapter 1, General Licensing Regulations,
The Course contents are as outlined below:
Day 1
Laws & Regulations: 6 hours
Permanence, Well-being and Education Needs: 2 hours
Day 2
Business Operations: 4 hours
Management/Supervision of Staff: 4 hours
Day 3
Physical & Psychosocial Needs: 4 hours
Medication: 4 hours
Day 4
Admission & Assessment Retention: 5 hours
Community & Support Services: 3 hours
Day 5
Emergency Intervention Non-Violent: 2 hours
Cultural Competency: 2 hours
Safety of Foster Youth: 2 hours
Sexual and Reproductive Health: 1 hour
Federal Indian Child Welfare Act: 1 hour
